What are your plans for the Summer?
Todos os anos faço uma bucket list de Verão aqui com muitas ideias divertidas que tenho em mente. Este ano vai ser diferente. Até ontem, o meu plano era fazer “nada” todo o verão: ir à praia, divertir-me e descansar. Mas ontem depois do meu exame, recebi uma chamada do Banco de Portugal a aceitar-me como estagiária para o Verão. Tinha de dizer que sim, é uma super oportunidade!
Pela primeira vez na minha vida, vou passar o meu aniversário a trabalhar ahah. Não vou ter muito tempo para descansar visto que o estágio começa em Julho e tenho a minha tese para acabar e apresentar para a semana. Bem-vinda à vida adulta, Catarina!
Mas tudo vai correr bem, eu sei. Isto para dizer que lamento, mas este ano não haverá uma bucket list assim tão divertida! Ainda assim espero aproveitar ao máximo o tempo em família, ir à praia, ver muitos pôr-do-sol, tirar fotografias lindas, viajar e comer muito gelado! Porque não ter o melhor dos dois mundos? Quais são os vossos planos para o Verão?
Every year I do a Summer bucket list here with a lot of fun activities I have in mind. This year will be different. Until yesterday, my plan was to do “nothing” all summer: go to the beach, have fun and rest. But yesterday after my exam, I received a call from Bank of Portugal accepting me as an intern for the Summer. I had to say yes, it’s a crazy big opportunity!
For the first time in my life, I’ll spend my birthday working ahah. And I won’t have much time to rest since the internship starts in July and I have to finish my thesis and present it next week. Welcome to adulthood, Catarina!
But everything will be fine, I know it. All this to say that I’m sorry, but this year there won’t be a fun bucket list ahah. Although I still hope to enjoy a lot of family time, go to the beach, watch a lot of sunsets, take beautiful pictures, travel and eat a lot of ice cream. Why not have the best of both worlds?
