A quick view + tips for Vatican Museums

 

Boa noite a todos! Hoje quero mostrar-vos como foi a nossa visita ao Vaticano. Tenho cinco conselhos para vocês se pensam em visitar a cidade no futuro. Preparados?

1.Aconselho-vos a comprar os bilhetes online. Pagam uma comissão extra mas vale mesmo a pena. Não conseguem nem imaginar a fila que estava para entrar! Mas como comprámos os bilhetes com antecedência, não esperámos de todo.

2. Comprem os bilhetes online E com tempo. Comprámo-los certa de uma semana antes da nossa viagem mas todos os bilhetes “normais” estavam esgotados. Tivemos de comprar um com almoço incluído e, apesar de termos comido muito, não justifica o preço que pagámos.

3. Guardem um dia só para o Vaticano. Estivemos mais de 5 horas dentro dos museus + capela Sistina e não tenho a certeza se vimos tudo ahah.

4. Façam uma pequena pesquisa antes de ir. A maior parte das coisas que vão ver têm muito mais significado se souberem a história por trás dela!

5. Vão mais cedo para poderem visitar a Basílica de S.Pedro antes dos Museus. Planeámos em ir depois mas a fila esta impossível! Isto acontece porque a entrada é de borla ahah.

Goodnight everyone! Today I want to talk to you about our visit to Vatican. I have five tips if you are thinking about visiting it in the future. Ready?

1. I advice you to buy the tickets online. You will pay an extra fee but it’s totally worth it. You can’t even imagine how big the line to get in was! But because we bought the tickets in advance, we didn’t wait at all.

2. Buy the tickets online AND with time. We bought them about a week before the trip but all the “normal” tickets were sold out. We had to buy a ticket that included lunch and, although we were able to eat a lot, it doesn’t justify the price we paid for.

3. Save a day only for the Vatican. We spent more than 5 hours inside the museums + Sistine chapel and I’m not even sure if you saw everything ahah.

4.  Make a quick research before going. Most of the things you’ll see have a lot more meaning if you know the story behind it!

5. Go early so you can visit St. Peter’s Basilica before the Museums. We planned on going after and the line was insane! This happens because the entry is free ahah.
