Last day at Banco de Portugal

 

Sexta foi o último dia no BdP e após dois meses é estranho não ter a mesma rotina. Quero aproveitar este post para agradecer a todos os estagiários pelos bons momentos, risos, almoços, jantares e por fazerem estes meses um bocadinho mais fáceis. Um agradecimento especial ao Pedro por me aturar 8 horas por dia, explicar-me economia internacional, ensinar-me os 151 Pokemons e fingir ser meu agente.

Também quero agradecer a todos os que trabalharam connosco no núcleo de difusão estatística: Alexandre, por estar sempre connosco e nos mandar os e-mails mais engraçados; João, por também estar sempre connosco e ser um ótimo vizinho da frente; Ana, por nos servir sempre o café de manhã e nos ensinar português; Nuno, por estar sempre de bom humor e contagiar toda a gente à volta; Alberto, por nos ensinar tudo o que há para saber sobre taxas de câmbio e me ajudar a defender a Margem Sul; Fátima, por inaugurar a mesa do centro com queijos maravilhosos; Manuela, por nos explicar como funciona o Boletim Estatística durante umas 5 horas seguidas; Pedro, por gostar do nosso trabalho e não matar as plantas; Teresa, por adorar os nossos vídeos e nos querer contratar; e, finalmente, Faustino, por acreditar em nós e nos dar um trabalho tão divertido e interessante. Friday was our last day at BdP and after two months it feels weird not to have the same routine. I want to take this post to thank all the interns for all the good moments, laughs, lunches, dinners and for making these months a little bit easier. Also, a special thanks to Pedro for putting up with me 8 hours a day, explaining me international economics, teaching me all the 150 Pokemons and pretending to be my agent.

I also want to thank everyone who worked with us in the statistics diffusion core: Alexandre, for always being with us and sending us the funniest emails; João, for also being always with us and being an amazing front neighboor; Ana, for serving us coffee every morning and teaching us Portuguese; Nuno, for always being in such a good humor and contaminating everyone around; Alberto, for teaching us everything there is to know about exchange rates and helping me defend Lisbon South Bay; Fátima, for inaugurating the center table with such amazing cheese; Manuela, for explaining us how the Statistical Bulletin works for about 5 hours straight; Pedro, for liking our job and not killing the plants; Teresa, for loving our videos and wanting to hire us so badly; and, finally, Faustino, for believing in us and giving us a job so fun and interesting. I will see you soon xx.
