La Grande Mosquée de Paris

Primeira vez a visitar La Grande Mosquée de Paris! Está lcalizada ao lado do Jardin des Plantes por isso, depois de sairmos do jardim, decidimos fazer uma paragem rápida e fomos espreitar. Foi uma agradável surpresa. A simetria e cor dos mosaicos deixou-me tão feliz! Estas fotos são no jardim da mesquita, que é lindo.

Um senhor muito simpático deu-me a minha “saia” rosa à entrada da mesquita – até falava português! Estava a usar uma saia mais curta por baixo e não me era permitida a entrada com ela. Ele deu-me este tecido colorido e eu transformei numa saia mais longa! Por isso sim, se estiverem a pensar visitar, tenham em mente o que levam vestido – eu deveria ter pensado mas nem sequer me lembrei!

First time visiting La Grande Mosquée de Paris! It is located just by the side of Jardin des Plants so, after leaving the gardens, we decided to make a quick stop and check it out. It was a pleasant surprise. The symmetry and color of the mosaics made me so happy! These pictures are in the gardens of the Mosquée which are just beautiful.

A very nice man gave me my pink “skirt” at the entrance of the Mosquée – he even spoke Portuguese! I was wearing a smaller skirt underneath and was not allowed to get in wearing it. He gave me this beautiful colored fabric and I turned it into a longer skirt! So yes, if you are planning to visit it, have in mind what you will be wearing – I should have but it didn’t even cross my mind!
