Île de Ré, Mai 2023

 

Estou cada vez mais perto de me tornar uma verdadeira Parisiense! Île de Ré é uma pequena ilha francesa no Oceano Atlântico e, aparentemente, o lugar predileto de férias para todos os parisienses – e consigo perceber porquê. Passei lá uma semana e foi a semana perfeita para desconectar. Só andei de bicicleta, bebi rosé, joguei às cartas e comi ostras. Ao mesmo tempo, senti-me em casa, ao passear na praia e tocar a água do oceano.

Seja de férias ou mesmo depois de um dia de trabalho, passear na praia é sempre um momento de paz que eu adoro. Um dos dias fomos de bicicleta até uma das grandes praias da ilha. Caminhámos na areia e sentámo-nos a ouvir o som das ondas. Não havia ninguém – o luxo. Fazer o caminho até lá foi divertido, o pior foi quando me apercebi que tinha de fazer o mesmo caminho de volta… foi o máximo de exercício físico que fiz em alguns anos!

De todos os musts, só não vi os burros em cuecas – sim, malta, é uma coisa típica ahah. Fica a desculpa para voltar lá no ano que vem?

I am closer and closer to become a real parisian! Île de Ré is a little french island in the Atlantic Ocean and, apparently, the favorite holiday destination for parisians – I can see why. I spent a week there and it was the perfect week to disconnect. I just rode a bike, drank rosé, played cards and ate oysters. At the same time, it felt like home, walking on the beach and touching the ocean’s water.

No matter if it is on holidays or after a long day of work, walking on the beach is always a peaceful moment that I love. One of the days we rode the bike until one of the big beaches in the island. We walked in the sand and sat hearing the sound of the waves. There was no one there – the luxury. Doing the way there was fun, the worst part was when I realized I had to do the same way back… it was the most exercise I have done in some years!

From all the musts, I just did not see the donkies in pantis – yes, guys, it is a real thing ahah. I guess I have the excuse… same time next year?
