Alugar um barco privado em Como

Eu disse-vos em todos os posts como os transportes são horríveis em Como – e volto a repetir! Deixem-me explicar. A melhor forma de viajar pelo lago é, obviamente, de barco. E conseguem ir a todo o lado assim! No entanto, não é possível comprar bilhetes online (exceto para viagens que levam quase 4h em vez de 1h), por isso são obrigados a fazer fila. E quando eu digo fila, digo FILA de 2 horas.

No primeiro dia queria apanhar o barco às 9:00 por isso cheguei às 8:30 na minha inocência. Cheguei à bilheteria às 10:00 e o melhor que consegui foi um barco às 12:00. Metade do dia estava perdido! No segundo dia disse a mim mesma ‘nem pensar que vou para a fila, vou comprar a viagem longa online e compro o expresso quando chegar lá’. Apanhei o barco às 10:00, cheguei às 13:30. Fui almoçar e, imediatamente a seguir, comprar o bilhete. Não havia fila, yey! Mas o barco expresso só funcionava nos fins de semana, o barco mais tarde já estava esgotado e o único possível era outro de 3h30 às 16:00. Sim, passei 2 horas e meia a visitar a cidade e 7 horas em transportes.

I told you in all the posts, how much the transportation sucks in Como – and I will repeat it! Let me explain. The best way to travel the lake is, of course, by boat. And you can go anywhere with it! However, it is not possible to by tickets online (except for trips that can take almost 4h instead of 1h), so you are forced to queue. And when I say queue, I say QUEUE for 2 hours.

The first day I wanted to take the boat at 9:00 so I arrived at 8:30 in all my innocence. I arrived at the cashier at 10:00 and best I had was a boat at 12:00. Half the day was gone! Second day I said to myself ‘no way I will queue again, I will buy online the longer trip to go and buy the express to come back when I arrive’. So I took the boat 10:00, arriving at 13:30. I went to lunch and immidiatly after I went to buy the return ticket. No queue, way! But the express boat only worked on weekends, the later one was already full and the only boat I could take was a 3h30 trip again at 16:00. Yes, I spent 2 hours and a half visiting the city and 7 hours in transportation.

Mas chega de me queixar (omg, estou a tornar-me francesa?). Toda esta dor levou-me à MELHOR ideia de sempre: alugar o meu próprio barco. Aluguei um que não requer licença de condução por isso tivemos apenas 5 minutos de explicação antes e estávamos prontos! Em 3 horas passámos perto das cidades mais fofas e fomos até Nesso. Podíamos parar onde quiséssemos para nadar e foi perfeito! Honestamente, o melhor dia que passámos lá.

 

But enough complaining (omg, am I becoming French?). All this pain led me to the BEST decision : I will rent my own boat. I rented one that does not require a license so we just had a 5 minute explanation before and we were ready to go! In 3 hours we stopped close to the cutest cities and went all the way up to Nesso. We could stop pretty much anywhere to swim and it was perfection! Honestly, best day we spent there.

Consigo ver os meus amigos a olhar para este post e pensar ‘Impossível ela ter conduzido um barco, ela nem conduz um carro’. MAS CONDUZI! Por isso, acreditem, se eu consigo, toda a gente consegue. Foi apenas um pouco mais difícil quando um barco maior passava e criava ondas gigantes ahah. Mas enfim… Pude conduzir, pude nadar, pude bronzear, pude aproveitar a vista – experiência 10/10. Recomendo totalmente!

 

I can see my friends looking at this post and thinking ‘No way she drove a boat, she doesn’t even drive a car’. BUT I DID! So, believe me, if I can, everyone can. It was just a bit hard when a bigger boat passed by and created huge waves ahah. But anyway… I could drive, I could swim, I could tan, I could envoy the view – 10/10 experience. Totally recommend!
