«Where flowers bloom, so does hope»

You don’t know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice.

I don’t know who said this but it’s so true. Life keeps putting me and my family to test. If someone told me, sometime ago, that I would have to go through everything I had to go for the past year, I would think I would never be able to come back up. “I’m not strong enough for this” – This thought has crossed my mind several times. But I keep finding out that I am. I am, because I have no other choice other than being.

However, there is always a light in my darkness. That light is called hope. Hope for better days and hope for a better future. Hope that my dreams will still come true and hope to make all my loved ones – the ones who are physically with me and the ones which the soul I carry with me every day – proud of me.

And for all my little stars: not a day goes by when I don’t think about you. You are with me in every step. Keep looking for us and keep sending us strength, God knows we need it.

LATELY ON MY PHONE

Lately on my phone

Lately on my phone.

These “Lately” posts are not what they used to be anymore 🙁 . Now all my lost phone pictures are about random activities I do while in lockdown in order to keep myself sane. When everything goes back to normal (I have been saying this for almost a year, please let it be soon, please!), I intend to do a professional sewing workshop. However, while everything is closed, I have been trying to practice at home! This is my grandmother’s sewing machine and one of the most precious things I own.

Lately on my phone

This was my project from last weekend: a scrunchie! It’s kind of easy to do (even thought it requires both sewing on a machine and by hand). Would you be interested in a tutorial for a DIY scrunchie?

Still on the sewing topic. I have been searching for a sewing ring for the longest time! I ran stores looking for a measure tape ring and people would look at me like I was crazy 😛 . Honestly, I just wanted to take my grandmother with me everyday and everywhere and I though this would be a nice way to honor her. Recently I found this sewing pin ring and it felt just right ♥ .

Lately on my phone

Outra coisa que me ajuda a distrair é cozinhar (e comer).

Another thing that helps me get distracted is to bake (and eat). This is a chocolate cake I did which is like mousse on the inside and tastes like heaven.

And if there’s one thing no one can’t take away from us are sunrises and sunsets. I may be locked in my home but I am glad I still the sky getting in pretty colors through my balcony.

Lately on my phone

So.

I don’t really know the context of this picture but I thought it was cute. Sometimes I just wake up feeling like taking random pictures (you are lucky I don’t even share 1% of them ahah). Also, I like clothes, I like books so… why not?

And with good energies and pretty pictues we end another week. I wish the next one to be even better ♥ .

So.

Wine & Friends

Wine & Friends

Wine & Friends

Wine and friends.

I love how spontaneous these pictures are. And I love having friends who live so close to me! I can visit them whenever I want, drink their wine and talk about life. These are such special moments in a time where Christmas dinners are being done virtually (I literally had one today). Such weird times! But it’s also nice to see how people can adapt easily to new circumstances and, above all, still treasure the little traditions. If people care about you, they will find a way to be there somehow 🙂 .

Hang in there and stay safe, this will all end soon ♡.
