Crete is worth a trip all on its own. But we realized that a little too late. We spent three days there, and that’s nowhere near enough to see the highlights. It’s a HUGE island, and some say it’s the most authentic one. When we realized we wouldn’t be able to explore it properly (not even by renting a car, because it would take hours and hours to get around), we accepted our fate: hotel, food, beach, repeat. And, all things considered, it wasn’t that bad! It still ended up being our least favorite island, because it didn’t really fit our honeymoon vibe. But it’s a great place for families and groups of friends!

When we arrived in Crete, the World Cup started. So, after dinner, you could find us in bars watching some random game or in our private hot tub watching it on my phone, because I was so into it that I’d downloaded an app from a Greek channel.

And just like that… the honeymoon was over. Time to get back to reality!

So. So.
