Thank you, Bern!

Thanks for the memories ❤

I’m finally home! And now I miss Bern ahah. A true Portuguese is always missing something! I’m so happy to be back home with my family and in my hometown. But this city will always have a special place in my heart <3. The day before we left we visited the whole city once again for the last time in a while. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining but the snow started to fall in the evening. The walk was lovely, couldn’t have a best last memory of the city. Thank you for everything, Bern!

Vittorio Emanuele II

Vittorio Emanuele II monument, Rome

We crossed with this gigantic monument by chance. I didn’t knew this was a touristic place until I passed in front of it ahah. Its size amazed me, just like its beauty! One of the things that I loved about Rome was the fact that everything was so close. I walked around the city every day without catching a single public transport! This monument, for example, was 5 minutes by foot from the Colosseum and right in front of the Venice Palace.

Venice

Venice, Italy

Adorei Veneza quando cheguei. As cores, o rio, a vida. É tudo bonito, não me entendam mal!

I loved Venice when I arrived. The colors, the river, the life. But somehow that feeling changed in the next day. I saw all the touristic points in the first afternoon: the Rialto bridge, Grand Canal, St. Mark’s Basilica and the bridge of Sighs. Everything is beautiful, don’t get me wrong! But I stayed three days in Venice and on the last two I really didn’t know what to do in the city ahah. I must say that the weather has a big part in this. As it was pour raining the whole day, our options were little. The fact that I was travelling for a week already lead to me feeling more tired and not enjoying so much.

The restaurants are crazy expensive and they usually try to fool the tourists buy charging extra fees that are not written. There were also a lot of street salesman that tried to offer me roses and make me pay afterwards. I never accepted them because I knew what they were up to. But it became annoying how insistent they were even when I was eating or enjoying the view. Besides, I found the city a lot dirtier than I imagined. Maybe I just didn’t have luck, I have to come back when the weather is better to see if I stick to this view of Venice!
