Há alguma coisa de especial nos livros, não há? Fazem-nos viajar sem termos sequer de sair do mesmo sítio. Uma das minhas coisas favoritas é quando um livro é capaz de me dizer exatamente o que estou a sentir. Às vezes, nem eu própria sei o que é, mas alguém que não conheço conseguiu pô-lo em palavras. Obrigada desconhecido!

Normalmente, quando encontro uma frase que gosto, marco essa página com um post it. E o meu Livro do Desassossego está carregadinho deles! Definitivamente dos meus favoritos.

There is something special about books, isn’t there? They make you travel without you needing to leave the same place. One of my favorite things is when a book is capable of telling me exactly what I’m feeling. Sometimes, even when I don’t know exactly what it is, someone I don’t know was able to put it into words. Thank you stranger! 

Usually, when I find a quote I like, I mark the page with a post it. And my Book of Disquiet is full of them! Definitely one of my favorites.

Olá olá de uma Lisboa solarenga! Especialmente solarenga no dia destas fotografias. O que me relembra… nota para mim mesma: não peças gelado num cone quando estão mais de 30ºc lá fora. Não foi bonito de se ver 🙂 . E mesmo com este tempo maravilhoso experienciei algo que nunca pensei ser possível: éramos os únicos clientes nos Pastéis de Belém! Isso explica o saquinho na minha mão, o meu tipo de shopping favorito <3. Mas adoro Lisboa vazia, tem outro encanto!

Hello there from sunny Lisbon! Especially sunny on the day of these pictures. Which reminds me… tip to self: do not order an ice cream in a cone when there are more than 30ºc outside. It was not beautiful to watch 🙂 . And even with this amazing weather I experienced something I never thought I would be able to: we were the only costumers at Pastéis de Belém! That explains the little bag in my hand, my favorite kind of shopping <3. But I love empty Lisbon, it has a different charm!

Meet Vincent Van Gogh in Lisbon

 

O Meet Vincent Van Gogh é uma experiência criada pelo Van Gogh Museum em Amesterdão. Não é uma exposição de pintura normal pois distingue-se das restantes pela sua interatividade. Podemos pintar um auto retrato enquanto exploramos as noções básicas da teoria das cores, aprender como desenhar em perspectiva, observar as suas pinturas através de um microscópio ou mesmo em tamanho real. Escusado será dizer que vivi a minha melhor vida a participar em todas as atividades interativas como a criança que sou!

Além disso, cada visitante recebe um áudio-guia para toda a experiência. Podemos ouvir histórias baseadas em algumas das muitas cartas pessoais enviadas durante toda a sua vida. Eu diria que esta é uma exposição muito mais focada na sua vida que nas suas pintura. Mesmo que no fim elas sejam fortemente relacionadas.

The Meet Vincent van Gogh is an experience created by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. It is not a normal painting exhibition as it distinguishes from the others for its interactivity. We can paint a self portrait while exploring the basic notions of color theory, learn how to draw in perspective, observe some of his famous paintings through a microscope or even in real life size. Needless to say that I had the time of my life participating in all interactive activities like the kid I am!

Besides that, each visitant receives an audio guide for the whole experience. We can listen to stories based on the many personal letters he sent throughout his life. I would say this is an exhibition much more focused on his life than his paintings. Even if in the end they are very closely related.

 

 

É uma experiência muito enriquecedore! Para entusiastas do Van Gogh como eu, recomendo muito.

It is a very enriching experience! For Van Gogh enthusiasts like me, I would totally recommend.
