One of my favorite things about Rome! 

 

Estive em Roma há 15 anos atrás e tinha uma pequena ideia do que era a Fontana di Trevi. Desta vez, quando a vi, fiquei maravilhada pelo seu tamanho e beleza. Não me lembrava dela assim tão grande! Foi impossível tirar uma foto da fonte inteira ahah. Foi definitivamente uma das minhas partes favoritas de Roma. Atiramos uma moeda e pedimos um desejo como a tradição manda. A pior parte foi a quantidade de pessoas lá, tornou quase impossível descer. E também os vendedores que foram constantemente rudes para os turistas que lhes diziam que não. Antes de ir embora tive de tirar um momento para a apreciar. Sem fotos, sem vídeos, sem conversa. Só olhar para ela. Uau.

 

I’ve been in Rome 15 years ago and I had a small idea of what Fontana di Trevi was like. This time, when I saw it, I was amazed by it’s size and beauty. I didn’t remember it being so big! It was impossible for me to take a picture of the whole fountain ahah. It was definitly one of my favorite things about Rome. We threw a coin and made a wish as tradition tells us to. The worst part was the amount of people there, it made it almost impossible to go down. And also the salesman that were constantly rude for the tourists that said no to them. Before going away I had to take a moment to appreciate it. No photos, no videos, no talk, Just look at it. Uau.

Usei este outfit no dia 1 de Janeiro quando passeava pela cidade de Roma por isso foi o primeiro outfit do ano. Gostam? Do topo das Escadarias de Espanha podem ter uma vista geral da cidade, é tão bonita! O tempo estava péssimo nesse dia tho, choveu muito e o céu estava coberto de nuvens. Vamos deixar Roma amanhºa e ainda tenho tantas fotos para vos mostrar! Próxima paragem: Florença.

 

I wore this outfit on the 1st of January when strolling around Rome so it was the first outfit of the year. How do you like it? From the top of the Spanish Steps you can have an overview of the city, it’s beautiful! The weather was terrible that day tho, it rained a lot and the sky was covered in clouds. We are leaving Rome tomorrow and I still have so many pictures to show you! Next stop: Florence.

Hello 2018!

 

Bom ano novo para todos! <3. Chegámos a Roma no dia 31 à noite, que aventura! Não tinhamos transportes para vir para o hotel e o nosso primeiro contacto com italianos foi um taxista que nos tentou enganar. Conseguimos chegar a casa salvos mas bem mais tarde do que pensávamos. Passámos a meia noite na Piazza del Popolo, estava cheia! Dia 1  de Janeiro fomos ao vaticano ver o papa, outra aventura ahah. Imensa gente e filas enormes para passar nos detetores de metais. À tarde passeámos pela cidade e vimos alguns pontos turisticos como as Escadarias de Espanha, a Fontana di Trevi e o Panteão. Hoje visitámos Roma antiga: o coliseu, fórum romano e palatino.  Apesar do início atribulado, Roma é linda! Especialmente com o céu limpo como hoje. Mais fotos virão, fiquem por aí x

 

Happy new year everyone! <3. We arrived in Rome on the 31st at night, what an adventure! We didn’t have any public transports to the hotel and the first contact we made with Italians was with a taxi driver that tried to fool us. We got home safe but much late than what we were expecting. We spent midnight in Piazza del Popolo, it was full! On the 1st of January we went to Vatican to see the pope, another adventure ahah. A lot of people and huge lines to get through the metal detectors. In the afternoon we strolled in the city and saw some turistic points like the Spain steps, Fontana di Trevi and Pantheon. Today we visit antique Rome: Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatino. Despite the troubled start, Rome is beautiful! Especially with a clear sky like today. More pictures will come, stay there x
