TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE

Trip down memory lane. Back in 2003.

Adoro ver fotos antigas.

I love looking back at old pictures. And that’s one of the reasons why I also love taking pictures this much! I know one day I’ll look back on these and be glad I did take them. Yesterday, me and my family spent a good amount of time looking at old pictures – some made us laugh like crazy, some made us sad, that’s the power of pictures! One millisecond of our lives that can be eternalized.

On this trip down memory lane we will visit September 2003 – my first day of school 😀 . These pictures are sooooo funny! And I can’t choose the funniest thing about them. Is it my baby teeth? Is it my prince charming hair? Or is it the fact that I am exploding of happiness to go to SCHOOL!? You decide! Ahah.

Clockwork Orange

Clockwork Orange

Clockwork Orange.

«I was calm on the outside, but thinking all the time.»

When my sweet polka dot side meets my weird ultra violence movie one, this outfit happens. Kind of paradoxes, but that’s how I like it 😀 . This was yesterday’s outfit for a dinner in a friend’s place. This will be a weird Summer but some traditions will remain the same. Backyard barbecues with cold drinks, good music and late night conversations has to be one of them!

Who has seen Clockwork Orange, tho? It’s absolutely crazy, but I love it. If you can get over all the violence, the message is really good!

Why are Sundays so depressing?

Why are Sundays so depressing? – The New Abnormal (2020)

«I love you in the morning, so you know it’s no lie
You’re hidin’ in the background but you wanna be found»

A segunda vez que ouvi, adicionei Adults are Talking and Why e Sundays so Depressing?. Porque o Julian Casablancas continua a ler as nossas mentes.

Seven years later, The Strokes gave the Universe another gift. Their new album, The New Abnomal, was released last month and it feels like they picked up exactly where they left. It sounds like The Strokes I know, and I’m not complaining. Also, I’m in love with this album cover.

The first time I heard the album, my favorite songs were Brooklyn Bridge to Chorus and Bad Decisions. Second time listening to it, I’ve added Adults are Talking and Why are Sundays so Depressing?. Now, the 1000th time I’ve listen to it, I cannot even choose one! So I’ll just present you with a song that seems accurate on a day like today. Because Julian Casablancas keeps reading our minds.

This song talks about Julian’s life before fame. It reflects past aspects of his life, with a very nostalgic touch on topics like love, work and general thoughts about life.
