Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris

When in doubt – go to Disneyland with your best friend! It is cheaper than therapy. And soooo much fun! I had the best time this weekend eating mickey mouse shapped donuts, ridding children’s activities and just living the magic of christmas. It even snowed on our way there!

It was my second time in Disneyland. My first time was in 2006 so I didn’t remember a thing ahah. I only kept two memories: the excitment of riding Pirates of the Caribbean and the disappointment of not being able to ride Peter Pan. This time I rode both! Still  as excited as the first time for Pirates (I rode it twice!) and still disappointed about Peter Pan (this time because I waited almost 2h for a 1 minute ride, I was excepting so much more!).

Anyway, overall a 10/10 weekend!

Day trip to Chablis

Here are a couple of pictures I took in a recent one day trip to Chablis. It was a beautiful autumn day, I could see the sun setting over the vines. Such a beautiful landscape! The city is very very small but the view from the top is worth it. Soon we will be going there again but this time to pick a white wine for our wedding, woop woooop!

2 WEEKS IN JAPAN

2 semanas no Japão

2 weeks in Japan

Just returned from two weeks in Japan! This country wasn’t on my list for the next few years, but when we received a proposal to attend a wedding in Japan, we had to say yes. Honestly, I wasn’t super impressed. Maybe because social media is giving the impression that it’s an otherworldly country where everything is amazing? But, for me, there’s a certain inconsistency between the culture and the lifestyle in the big cities that bothered me. Plus, we experienced a heat wave (around 40º) which made sightseeing in the cities much more uncomfortable, as you can imagine!

My favorite part was undoubtedly the countryside, near Mount Fuji, where everything seemed more natural and simple. The people are welcoming, the food is good, and the landscapes are breathtaking. Kawaguchiko and Hakone – I highly recommend them if you’re thinking of visiting the Japanese countryside! Other activities we did and loved: the onsen, which was amaaaaaazing at our hotel, and of course the karaoke in Tokyo, which was super fun and the best way to end the trip!
