Beach Days

 

Lembram-se do post nostálgico que fiz sobre como o verão tinha acabado? Pois é, esqueci-me que ainda ia a Portugal em Setembro. O que significa que ainda tive um fim-de-semana de sol, sem nuvens, 35 graus, à minha frente. Por isso domingo de manhã tive de vir à praia dizer olá. Juntei-me a uma amiga para tomar o pequeno almoço e andámos pela praia, a falar de tudo, a queixarmo-nos de como tínhamos calor e de como os preços continuam a subir em Portugal – o habitual.

Que saudades de ir passear pela praia. É uma ótima maneira de recarregar baterias!

 

Remember the nostalgic post I made on how the summer was over? Well, I forgot I was still going to Portugal in September. Which means  I still had a weekend of sun, no clouds, 35 degrees, in front of me. So on sunday morning I had to come to the beach to say hello. I joined a friend for breakfast and we walked along the beach, talking about everything, complaining about how hot we were and how the prices keep raising in Portugal – the usual.

I miss going on strolls at the beach. Such a nice way to charge batteries!

Wedding Snapshots

 

Alguns snapshots do casamento do fim-de-semana passado. Juntei-me à minha família em Portugal para celebrar o casamento da minha prima. A cerimónia foi no Convento de Mafra e a festa na Ericeira – tudo estava tão lindo! A igreja em si faz parte de um famoso monumento português por isso já todos sabemos como é bonito. Mas fiquei impressionada com o facto de podermos ver o mar enquanto sentados lá dentro! Fez a espera pela noiva muito mais agradável ahah.

Gozei com a minha mãe por dizer que precisava de rímel à prova de água porque ia chorar. Mas possa, eu já devia saber que se alguém chorar, eu choro também. Ambos estavam tão emocionados quando leram os votos que eu não consegui conter-me. Por isso estavas certa mamã, thank god por rímel à prova de água!

Um fim-de-semana com muita comida (o que já é habitual quando vou a Portugal), dança e fotos (sou muito fã de cabines fotográficas nos casamentos). E também muita felicidade e amor ♥.

 

Some wedding snapshots from last weekend. I joined my family in Portugal to celebrate my cousin’s wedding. The ceremony was in Convento de Mafra and the party in Ericeira – everything was just so beautiful! The church itself is a famous portuguese monument so we all know already how beautiful it is. But I was amazed with the fact that we could see the ocean while sitting inside! It made all the waiting for the bride much more pleasent ahah.

I mocked my mom when she said she had to use waterproof mascara because she was going to cry. But damn it, I should already know that when someone cries, I cry as well. They were both so emotional reading their vows that I could not contain it. So you were right maman, thank god for waterproof mascara!

Just a weekend with a whole lot of food (which is already what happens everytime I go to Portugal), dancing and photo booth pictures (always a big fan of these in weddings). Also a lot of hapiness and love ♥.

Summer Memories

 

Parece que o verão acaba oficialmente hoje. Por isso, porque não rever alguns dos melhores momentos dos últimos 3 meses? Aqui ficam algumas das minhas melhores memórias deste verão.

Tinha de começar com uma fotografia do meu aniversário ainda que tenha sido um dia perfeitamente normal. Primeira vez longe da minha família, trabalhei o dia todo, fui jantar sushi fora, comprei um mini bolo e soprei uma vela aleatória que tinha por casa. Sempre achei que os meus 26 anos iam ser O ANO da minha vida por isso tinha de marcar o momento – até agora não me posso queixar.

 

It seems summer oficially ends today. So why not review some of the best moments of the last 3 months? Here are some of my best summer memories.

I had to start with a little picture from my birthday even though it was a super normal day. First time far away from my family, worked the whole day, went out for sushi, bought a tiny cake and blew a random candle I had around the house. I always thought my 26 years would be THE year of my life so I really had to mark the moment – so far, so good.

 

Sunset

Na altura do meu aniversário, tinha acabado de me mudar. No primeiro fim de semana de Julho! Por isso a casa ainda estava um pouco vazia. Não tinha muito mas tinha o céu em cores quentes e bonitas. Esta foto foi tirada num entardecer de um fim de semana em que olhei pela minha janela e achei que o céu estava lindo.

 

At the time of my birthday, I had just recently moved in. First weekend of July, actually! So the house was still pretty empty. I didn’t have much around but I had the sky in beautiful warm colors. This picture was taken on a random weekend evening when I looked out of my window and thought the sky looked so pretty.

 

Stawberries

Ah, é verdade! Depois do epidódio ‘Catarina vai apanhar cogumelos’, apresento-vos ‘Catarina vai apanhar morangos’.

Eram super pequenos, mas super doces!

 

Ah, yes! After the episode ‘Catarina goes to pick up mushrooms’, I present you ‘Catarina goes to pick up strawberries’.

They were super tiny, but super sweet! 

 

Nigloland

Num fim de semana de Agosto fui a um parque de diversões. Muito mais pequeno que a Disney mas muito fofo!

Andei numa montanha russa pela primeira vez, perdi um brinco mas diverti-me imenso!

 

On an August weekend, I went to an amusent park. Much smaller than Disney but super cute!

I went on a rollercoaster for the first time, lost an earing but had do much fun!

 

Staycation

Uma espreitadela ao meu Staycation em Paris. Ahhhh, adoro este conceito! E adoro transformar dias mundanos em dias especiais. Este foi sem dúvida um dia especial – e no meu aniversário de Paris! Celebrei dois anos a viver na cidade dos meus sonhos.

 

Sneak peak of my staycation in Paris. Ahhhh I love this concept! And I love making random days into specials ones. This was for sure a speacial day – and right on my Paris anniversary! Celebrating two years on living in the city of my dreams.

 

Itqly

Depois temos Itália, claro. Não tenho muito mais a dizer sobre esta viagem visto que já fiz 150 posts sobre o assunto ahah. Só que adoro a segunda foto. Imagino-me a viajar com a minha melhor amiga e a viver a minha melhor vida quando for mais velha. E que já estou a sonhar com as próximas férias!

 

Then we have Italy, of course! Not too much to say about this trip since I already made 150 posts about it ahah. Just that I love the second picture. I imagine me travelling with my best friend and living my best life when I am older. And that I am already dreaming about my next vacations!

 

Aperol Spritz
