Como mencionei no post anterior, sexta-feira foi dia de Louvre! O museu é absolutamente lindo, como já sabem. Em termos de arquitetura, os detalhes são de cortar a respiração – tanto no exterior como no interior. Claro que as peças de arte são incríveis também! Mas há algo que me incomoda… O museu é DEMASIADO grande. Saio de lá sempre com um sentimento de missão não-cumprida porque é impossível ver tudo! O museu conta com 35000 peças. Levaria 200 dias para ver todas as peças do museu se olhássemos para cada uma por 30 segundos.

O museu é composto por três partes (Richelieu, Sully e Denon) e quatro pisos. A última vez que visitei foquei-me na parte Denon apenas. Desta vez decidi focar-me apenas na parte da pintura (o que significa os últimos pisos). Ainda assim, o museu torna-se confuso e eu perco-me SEMPRE. E acaba por se tornar cansativo quando passamos tanto tempo à procura de um caminho! Conselho de amiga: levem sempre um mapa convosco! E certifiquem-se de que sabem exatamente onde querem ir.

As I have mentioned in the previous post, Friday was Louvre day! The museum is absolutely beautiful, as you already know. Architecture-wise, the details are just breathtaking – both on the outside and on the inside. Of course the art pieces are incredible as well! But there is one thing that always bothers me… The museum is WAY to big. I always leave with a feeling of mission unaccomplished because it is simply impossible to see everything! The museum accounts with 35000 pieces. It would literally take you 200 days to see each piece of the museum if you looked at it for 30 seconds. 

The museum is composed of three wings (Richelieu, Sully and Denon) and four floors. Last time I visited it, I focused on wing Denon. This time my approach was to focus on painting only (meaning the last floor mainly). Still, the museum becomes confusing and I get lost EVERY. TIME. And it might become a bit tiring to spend so much time just looking for the way somewhere! Advice from a friend: carry the map with you! Além disso, é um museu obrigatório de ir, claro. Apesar de arte clássica não ser a minha maior paixão, há alguns clássicos que não podem perder. E não é só a Mona Lisa! (Até porque toda a gente no museu está na sala da Mona Lisa, o resto está vazio, aproveitem!). As  três pinturas acima estão entre aquelas que mais me chamaram a atenção – acho-as lindas.

 

Other than that, a must see, of course. Even though classical art is not my biggest passion, there are some classics you cannot miss. And not just the Mona Lisa! (Specially because everyone is in the Mona Lisa’s room, the rest is empty, enjoy!). The above three paintings were among the ones that caught my attention – I find them beautiful.
