Right after arriving from Portugal, I received another visit in Paris – this time my Joana that came to use my sofa bed for the first time! On her last night here, she wanted to see the Eiffel tower and eat italian. So we ended up by choosing Chez Pippo, perfectly located and with a great menu. Following dinner we walked to the tower, which was less than 5 minutes away, and saw her shine – it is always magic ✨. After 1750 pictures and vidoes, we continued walking through town, passed the river and ended up in Champs Élysées. How much I love this city by night! It is not called the city of lights in vain.

This week was my last official day in my company. On my last non official day (before my holidays), I went to a brunch with my colleagues at Mon Crème, next to our office. This day was a mix of emotions! Sad because it is the end of a cycle and I hate to say goodbye. But very excited to see what the future has in store for me! And I managed not to cry even though I have received a gift, a chocolate, a breakfast dedicated to me and two handwritten postcards. It was hard, but I managed!

Work aside, what is new is the house! And during this lunch I fell in love with the ceramins of the café (from what I could see, the brand is called Rice) – it reminds me of the work of Bordallo Pinheiro, how beautiful! I want everything but I am forbidden 😀 .

THE REAL FRENCH CRÊPE RECETTE

The real french crêpe recette

The real french crêpe recette

.

.

It took me years, but I finally cracked the code for the real French crêpe recette! Whenever I tried them in the past, they would never get as thin as I wanted – so, basically, I always ended up with wannabe pancakes.

Now I know the trick remains in two major things: the crêpière (the pan) and the butter (when in doubt about the French cuisine, butter is usually the answer).

4) No fim, adicionar a manteiga derretida e mexer – a manteiga deve estar fria!

For two people, the ingredients are:

125g of flour, 2 eggs, 0,3l of milk, a dash of salt, 1 little spoon of sugar and 25g of melted butter.

The preparation is super easy but there is a little trick:

1) Mix the flour with the sugar and add a dash of salt.

2) Make a well in the middle and add the eggs. Mix slowly until consistent.

3) Add the milk (cold) little by little. Mix the batter until it is fluid.

4) At the very end, add the melted butter and mix – the butter should already be cold!

5) Heat the crêpière (you can add a bit of butter to make sure the batter won’t stick to it). When hot, add a portion of the batter and make circular movement to expand the batter to the whole pan. Turn it around with the batter gains bubbles and the edge of the crêpe seems cooked.

I am sharing the recipe 50% in case someone needs help and 50% in case I forget 😀 .

Also! It is a great recipe to eat sweet (I usually melt dark chocolate and add a bit of milk – as you can see in the pictures) or salty (with smoked salmon, it is elite). However, when I intend to eat salty crêpes, I skip the sugar in the batter.
