NEW IN SEPTEMBER

New in September

Desta vez, venho a tempo.

This time, I am on time. Maybe because it was actually a super fun and intense month so I cannot wait to write it down!

It kicked-off beautifully with the boat ride in the Seine at night. I’ve mentioned it already, but it was magical. I also visited Musée Carnavalet and, FINALLY, Versailles! I was there in 2018 but didn’t realize it closed on Mondays and yeah, of course I went on a Monday. So I only knew the gardens! This time I visited the Palace and it was just amazing ♥.

New in September

For the Journée Européene du Patrimoine, a few things in Paris were open exceptionally. One of them was the greenhouse of the Luxembourg gardens. So I got to visit it and see, among others, the little baby plants which will soon be displayed in the gardens. It is usually closed to the public so it was super nice to have this opportunity!

Fashion-wise, an intense month!

I attended my first sketch meeting which was super fun and insightful to see how the magic happens. Moreover, I visited the Elsa Schiaparelli’s exhbition which is a-ma-zing!

Besides, this last week was Paris Fashion Week. Super exciting to see from a far but e en more exciting to be a part of! At my work it was showroom week and I had the opportunity to see it close and help the Visual Merchandising team build the rails for the SS23 collection.

I was invited to the launch party of a luxurious perfume: Montri. On the same night, a bit by coincidence, I ended up gaining tickets to the SS23 Balmain show from last wednesday. You can imagine this is the highlight of my month!

So.

WEEKEND IN PICTURES

Boa segunda-feira, pessoas lindas! E PIOR! A MÁQUINA DO CAFÉ ESTAVA AVARIADA!

Talvez partilhe a receita?

Weekend in Pictures.

Happy Monday, beautiful people! Today was one of those days where nothing seems to go right. My metro broke down in the morning and stopped the whole line so I had to walk halfway to work which would normally be ok if I didn’t have a call at 9am. I walked, I sweat, I arrived at 8h58. Just to discover that my meeting was postponed. AND WORSE! THE COFFEE MACHINE WAS BROKEN!

I thought I was free from this torture until I left work and took the metro in the opposite direction and only realizing after like five stations. To be fair, I was not taking the usual way home as I needed to drop a letter. BUT STILL! And after that I lost the bus for literally 2 seconds but that happens everytime so I am not even counting. HOWEVER, when I got home, my hall was floaded and there was water falling from the ceiling. So there goes Catarina, knocking on everyone’s door in the floor above to try and understand where it comes from, in my best french accent, when all that I could say was “il y a de l’eau partout !”.

Anyway, now it is starting to get better. I made a lentil bolognese for dinner which was so good! Shall I share the recipe? And to forget all these little dramas, I am revisiting my lovely weekend which, unlike today, was super peaceful.

E hoje choveu!

Yesterday morning I took a walk on my way to the museum. Just look at this beauty. The sky looks nice but it is actually super cold in Paris these days. And it rained today!

Wearing my lemon boots for the first time on my grocery stroll. My motto is: If you have to go buy tomatoes, at least do it fashionably.

And also on my way to the museum, I passed in the boulangerie with the best croissaint in Paris. No, I swear. It received prizes! And it was as delicious as ever.

And to end well the weekend, a little tea and Gilmore Girls! Which is probably what I am going to do now. Clean the dishes, call my mom to tell her I love her and fall asleep watching an episode. It is a ritual at this point.

So. So.

FRIDAY LIST

Friday List

Welcome to another Friday List! How did you week go? I will tell you a bit more about my week below.

What did you eat?

In the morning I ate the usual: tartine and a lungo. For lunch, bolognese. For snacks, fruits, dried fruits and an infusion! I am always team coffee but I have been loving an infusion in the afternoon or before sleeping. I still think the taste is not amazing but it gives me comfort somehow. And for dinner… some takeaway!

What are you wearing?

It’s a casual Friday outfit. Jeans, a red silk shirt and black sandals. But I ended up being a bit too cold. It is getting colder and colder in Paris these days! So I have already taken out my knits – fully ready for Autumn.

What are you listening to?

Speaking about Autumn, it is my Autumn playlist. The moment I see the first orange leave on the floor, I dress my knits, light up a candle and start watching Gilmore Girls. From season 2, obviously. And only the episodes where Jess shows up. I have my limits! So anyway, my Autumn playlist fits this mood perfectly, it is mostly acoustic comfy songs.

Friday List

Mood do dia?

Mood of the day?

So happy that it is Friday! I really need to catch up on some sleep. But my internship ends in precisely 2 months so I am a bit concerned. Curious and excited about what the future has in store for me! But still, concerned if I am making the right choices or not.

Plans for the weekend?

I need to clean the house, change my wardrobe and go grocery shopping. I also need to do my internship report – I have been saying this for the past four months. On a more interesting note, I got tickets to Musée des Arts Décoratifs to see the Elsa Schiaparelli’s exhibition – this will be fun!

So. So.
