Yesterday I went to the launching party of the new Dusita Parfum: Montri. Shoutout to Teha for the invite! We learnt in our perfume class the complexity that is behind creating a fragrance. So now I admire a “nose” more than ever before! The way the notes are combined, it is like poetry in a bottle. And what is so interesting about this specific brand is that each perfume has a poem and a drawing associated to it. You can actually see some of them in the pictures – absolutely adorable!

It was a super nice experience with a lot perfume smelling, mimosas and chocolate truffles. I got to see some of my fashion girls and catch up on our busy internship lives so it was great! Not exactly the night I imagined I would have after such a busy weekend running Paris (again) with my sister. But it was exactly what I needed to kick off my week with the right foot!

BATEAU-MOUCHE

Bateau-Mouche

Bateau-Mouche

Bateau-Mouche

…

Noite amorosa, cidade amorosa, vida amorosa ♥.

Bateaux Mouches

…

Exactly two years ago today, I did a Bateau-Mouche with some friends. It was a Friday after lunch (I still remember I ate in a restaurant called “La Poule au Pot” in the 7th). We were on holidays, it was a beautiful summer day and I was feeling genuinely happy after a long time. I remember thinking how cool it would be to live in this city. I dreamt about walking around those pretty streets, buying croissants in the boulangerie of my street, speaking French and working in fashion. And I also thought how far away this life was from me since I was living 1800km away, working in banking and barely speaking 3 words in French.

Now that I look back, this trip changed my life! This idea got stuck in my head and a series of unfortunate events in my life made me press that “submit application” button just a few months later. The most random trip of my life  (picture this: me and my friend, both sad, needing to escape the chaos for a few days, turn to each other and say “what if we go to Paris?” and book tickets the same day), ended up being exactly what I needed.

…

Fast forward to two years later… and I did a Bateau-Mouche again! Now, as an almost-local celebrating one year in the city. Now I do walk these pretty streets. And I do buy croissants in the boulangerie of my street. I do work in fashion and I do speak French! Wowowow… how much can change in two years! But one thing never changes: I will always “AWWWW” when I see the Eiffel Tower. ALWAYS! Well and the boat ride was a bit different too. This time, we had dinner with a view. And is there anything prettier than Paris by night? It was also an excuse to dress up so it was just a big YES to me! Lovely night, lovely city, lovely life ♥.

So. So.

New in June, July and August

New in June July August

Busy Summer but such a fun one! Between Paris and Lisbon, work and holidays, weddings and anniversaries, city and countryside, stressful weeks and fun weekends – there was a bit of everything!

But of course the biggest highlight has to be the week in Portugal with my family. I got some cute polaroids from my birthday dinner – like the one above, already in the champagne part of the night. Visited my Lisbonita and ate pastéis de Belém. I have to admit, it was one of the things I was missing the most.

New in June, July and August

Somewhere in June there was the Summer Party of my company in Hotel Amour. Super fun! Even tho the food was a bit disappointing, at least I met so many new people! Not so fun when I got home this very same night and my bathroom had floaded during the dinner. But that is another story!

Also in June I visited the Paris showroom, so niceeeee! And such colorful accessories that we will have in the next season, can’t wait.

New in June July August

July, as mentioned, was partially divided between France and Portugal. While in Paris, it was a calm month. I visited the Musée des Archives Nationales and went to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert!

We got hit by a heat wave, so I also managed to get my first swim of the year.

In August I spent a week homeworking from the middle of nowhere, it almost felt like holidays! The week after, I received friends in my little Versailles and then went to Dijon for a weekend.

Meanwhile, I had my Parisversary – I have been living in my dream city for over a year now ♥. Not yet in my dream house with a view to the Eiffel Tower where I can paint on my balcony on Sunday mornings but well… I am closer than I ever was!

I feel like Summer passed in a rush, with so many things happening. Three months full of events but also full of joy.

So. So.
