Começamos a semana a reviver um fim-de-semana em Reims este verão. Um fim-de-semana que se resume a comida boa, muito champanhe e vistas bonitas. A catedral é sem dúvida a grande atração da cidade e é impressionante! Mas a minha parte favorita foi a visita às vinhas. Já fiz visitas a caves antes mas desta vez quis ver de perto a parte do processo que é mais próxima da natureza. Não foi muito fácil de lá chegar, visto que as vinhas eram numa parte remota do campo. Mas valeu a pena. A vista era linda, aprendi imenso e ainda degustei 3 champanhes diferentes – um deles foi a Ratafia que vêm na última foto, adorei!

Starting the week by looking back at a weekend in Reims this summer. A weekend that can be summarized into good food, a lot of champagne and pretty views. The cathedral is for sure the biggest attraction of the city and it is impressive! But my favorite part was visiting the vineyards. I have visited caves before but this time I wanted to see the part of the process that is closer to nature. It was not easy to get there, since the vineyards were lost in the countryside. But it was worth it. The view was gorgeous, I learn a lot and I even tastes 3 different champagnes – one of them, the Ratafia that you see in the last picture, I loved it!

Os meus essenciais – Vestidos

Decidi fazer esta série para me (e vos) ajudar a começar uma espécie de armário cápsula. É cada vez mais importante para mim ter menos peças no meu armário mas que sejam mais versáteis e de melhor qualidade. É importante para o ambiente e facilita a arrumação numa casa pequena como a que vivo. Só vantagens! Para isso, é importante investir em certas peças que sejam intemporais e essenciais para o estilo pessoal de cada um. Claro que depende de cada pessoa, mas os meus essenciais na categoria de vestidos estão listados abaixo.

 

My wardrobe essentials – Dresses

I decided to create this series to help me (and you) start a kind of capsule wardrobe. It is more and more important for me to have less pieces in my wardrobe but that are more versatile and better quality. It is important for the environment and helps with tyding a small apartement like the one I live in. Only advantages! For that, it is important to invest in certain pieces that are timeless and essencial for each one’s style: Of course it depends on each person, but my essentials in the dresses category are listed below.

1. Pequeno vestido preto

Provavelmente a minha categoria de roupa preferida portanto é super difícil escolher apenas algumas peças! Mas comecemos pelos incontornáveis: um pequeno vestido preto. “One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress” – Se o Karl Lagerfeld o disse, é porque é verdade. Honestamente, mini ou maxi, com ou sem mangas, há para todos os gostos.

 

1. Little black dress

Probably my favorite clothing category so it is super hard to choose only some pieces! But let’s start with the classics: a little black dress. “One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress” – If Karl Lagerfeld said it, it is true. Honestly, mini or maxi, with or without sleeves, there is for every taste.

2. Pequeno vestido branco

A mesma coisa, mas em branco. Sobretudo no verão, o branco é provavelmente uma melhor escolha. Pode ser igualmente versátil, usado de dia ou de noite, no trabalho ou nas férias. Para mim, a vantagem é que transmite uma ideia de frescura.

 

2. Little white dress

Same thing, but in white: Especially in summer, white is probably the best choice. It can be equaly versatile, used from day to night, at work or on vacation: Plus, for me, it has the advantage of trasmiting an idea of freshness.

3. Vestido camisa

Um vestido camisa é super versátil – fácil de adicionar camadas no inverno e fácil dress-up e dress-down.

A shirt dress can be super versatile – easy to make add-ons in winter and easy to dress up and dress down.

4. Vestido de malha

Para os dias mais frios, um vestido de malha é uma ótima opção.

5. Vestido de festa

Quem diz festa, diz jantar fora. Ou diz ir ao supermercado – não há regras! Para os dias em que te sentes um pouco mais extra, um vestido tchanan é o teu go-to. Isto não tem necessariamente de dizer rosa choque, plumas e brilhantes! É simplesmente o teu vestido mais elevado.

5. Party dress

Who says party, says going out for dinner. Or even going to the supermarket – there are no rules! For the days when you are feeling a bit extra, a tchanan dress is your go-to. This does not necessarily mean schking pink, feathers and glitter! It is simply your most elevated dress.

Uma colega do trabalho introduziu-me ao Staycation recentemente. Penso que é um conceito que não existe em muitas cidades (pelo menos não com este nome) excepto algumas cidades francesas, Londres, Madrid e Bruxelas. A ideia é que os locais podem marcar ‘férias’ à última da hora e tirar proveito dos melhores e mais luxuosos sítios nas suas cidades. Pode ir de um restaurante a um spa ou a um hotel: Achei uma ideia tão boa, poder fazer este tipo de planos repentinos e olhar para a nossa cidade como um turista por um dia. Tive de experimentar!

A ideia inicial era de celebrar os meus anos mas como acabei por ir no exato aniversário da minha chegada a Paris, fiz um dois-em-um. Neste contexto, tive a oportunidade de visitar a linda Maison Athénée em Paris, a apenas alguns passos da Ópera Garnier. Tem uma decoração tão distintiva e luxuosa – adorei! Mal posso esperar por continuar a testar os melhores lugares em Paris ♥.

A colleague from work introduced me to Staycation recently. I think it is a concept that does not exist in a lot of cities (at least not with this name) except a few French cities, London, Madrid and Bruxelles. The idea is that locals can book last minute ‘vacations’ and profit from the best and most luxurious places in their own city. It can go from restaurants to spas and hotels.  I thought it was such a good idea when I heard it, to make exciting last minute plans and be able to look into our city as a turist for a day. I had to try it!

The initial idea was to celebrate my birthday but since I ended up going on the exact day of the anniversary of my arrival in Paris, I did a two-in-one. In this context, I had the chance of visiting the beautiful Maison Athénée in Paris, a few steps away from Opéra Garnier. It has such a distinguished and luxurious decoration – I loved it! Cannot wait to keep testing the best places in Paris ♥.
