Nature is a language

Nature is a language.

«Nature is a language, can’t you read?»

At the beginning of the year, I booked these two-week holidays because we thought about going to South Africa. Later, we realized it would be impossible so we thought we could use these days to drive to Spain. Hum… impossible also. So… maybe we could can visit some little towns in Portugal? No. New lockdown announced for the country. I was “forced” to use these days to fully rest which wasn’t bad at all 😀 . So today you get to be presented with some pictures of my last trip inside Portugal – near Serra do Açor – when I got to wake up with this amazing view.

Sometimes things don’t work out as we plan, but that’s okay. Just remember to stay safe ♥

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

Goodbye by Cage the Elephant

«All my life I read between the lines
Held on too tight, you know I tried
But in the end it left me paralyzed
It’s alright, goodbye, goodbye.
Seems like yesterday, I was a child
Just a ripple in the folds of time
I wish you well, I want to see you smile
It’s alright, goodbye, goodbye.»

E tirem o máximo proveito desta viagem.

I think this will forever be one of my favorite songs. At least one of my favorites from Cage the Elephant. The way this song hit me a year ago… I remember listening to this with tears in my eyes and desperately trying to find a meaning in all this. I hate goodbyes. But not even being able to say goodbye… I think that is the worst of all. Life is short and unpredictable, don’t leave anything unsaid or undone. Do not settle for less than you deserve. Make the most out of this journey.

HOLIDAYS

First day of holidays got me like...

Holidays.

First day of holidays got me like…

I wasn’t made to simply do nothing. Don’t get me wrong, I love those lazy Sunday afternoons when the most productive thing you do is eating a whole chocolate bar. But, generally, I always have a new plan on my head. Either it’s learning a new skill, creating new things or dreaming and planning bigger projects… I am here for it! Today was my first day of holidays and look how happy I looked this morning for finally having time to do all the things I love.

I rarely notice this side of my personality until someone points it out, though. Today, at lunch, as I was sharing with my mother my latest life-planning-updates, she starts smiling and says “what are you going to invent after this? I’m scared!”. Later, I met with a friend that reminded me of how energetic I was as a kid. “I remember you very little, dancing on the streets, always full of energy. You knew I was Brazilian so you would keep on asking me to teach you how to dance samba!”, she said. I still don’t know how to dance samba, but I am still willing to learn!
