WHAT WAS NEW IN MARCH?

What was new in March?

What was new in March?

The best month professionally so far! I got my first interview for an internship – in French, but I made it! It was the most impactful event of the month and the one I am most proud of because I thought I was sooooo far from being able to do an interview in my third language. I still don’t have an answer so keep your fingers crossed for me!

Besides that, I received my first visit of the year: my sister came one week for work. And she is back today again for three more days of work. She has been further away from moving! ahah.

What was new in March?

In the beginning of the month I went to a café in Châtelet to do a project with my group. It was specially fun because we got to see a live show of a man that stopped next to us to dance the whole afternoon ahah. We ended up with a good grade so I think it worked!

It is also usual having online seminars at the end of the day – which, let’s face it, it’s not fun. So, with another group, we decided to join the seminar from a bar while we ate and drank. Fortunately no one asked us to turn on the cameras this time (well, that I know of, because we didn’t hear a word).

What was new in March?

I didn’t have a lot of time to check new places and museums. But I still got to visit Maison de Victor Hugo! And in a very random friday afternoon I visited Louvre for the first time since I am here! After the museum I went to the gardens to read and catch some sun – in one of those 20ºc days.

What was new in March?

You already know about my love for Jardin du Luxembourg. One of the Saturdays I bought breakfast and went there to eat! I tried the brioche au chocolate that you see above (a “revisited” version of the original because this one had random some egg cream). Also tried Beignet for the first time. I thought it would be hard to overpass my love for éclair but, guys… we have a new winner on the French cake category!

Artsy B&W Diaries

Estou a sentir-me artsy hoje.

I am feeling artsy today.  And to be surronded by art and nature is what inspires me the most. Friday I went to Louvre and soaked on so many beautiful art pieces! Yesterday I went to a garden to read and catch some Vitamin D. And today I woke up earlier, went to a café for breakfast and put my latest inpirations into paper. Drawing is not my talent, at all. But coming up with a concept that can be translated into something tangible gives me so much pleasure!

The last two weeks of classes were in Marangoni. I had a course of Design Research and Creativity Direction (where we had to create a concept and a collection for a brand), and I had so much fun it didn’t even feel like school! That is what I aspire to feel when I get back to the work world. It is clear to me, now more than ever, how much I need this creative side on my day-to-day. Oh, and since we are here, a croissaint and coffee on a parisian terrace in the morning sun would be a nice daily thing too, thank you!

WHAT WAS NEW IN FEBRUARY?

What was new in February? Fondation Louis Vuitton

What was new in February?

Eu visitei a Fundação Louis Vuitton e Rivolo 59.

Not as busy as January (due to the amount of workload) mas still worth a post! How was your month? What was new in february for you?

I visited Fondation Louis Vuitton and Rivolo 59. Very different from each other! But both interesting. In Fondation Lous Vuitton I visited the Morozov collection. Rivolo 59 is an art gallery (very indie) – a building where different artists work and sell their work.

What was new in February? L'Étranger

So. So.

Comecei a ler L’Étranger.

I started reading L’Étranger. I am still in the beginning because reading in french is still too tiring for me! There are some words for which I have to search the meaning or sentences which I have to read and re-read. But I am hoping to progess! Foodwise (best part), I did my grandmother’s receipe of Tomatada and ate Raclette for the first time. Mode homemade burguers and a Tatin tarte – it has the particularity of being made “on reverse”.

What was new in February? Valentino. Avenue Montaigne

So. So.

Finally, I had to go to the Valentino store to take some pictures for a Visual Merchandising project and ended up walking the chicest avenue in Paris from one side to the other. I had aleady been to Avenue Montaigne before but I never really walked it fully. I also started to send the first internship applications – wish me luck!
