WHAT WAS NEW IN APRIL?

New in April

What was new in April?

Abril foi um bom mês. Conheci pessoas novas, visitei novos lugares, fiz novas receitas e consegui o meu estágio.

April was a good month. I met new people, visited new places, made new recipes and got my internship. Also received my cousin from Brazil home so that was fun!

I visited the Yves Saint Laurent Museum that was in my list for centuries! The museum is the old Maison de Couture of the brand so I had the chance to see the real drawings of YSL and the office where he used to work ♥.

New in April

So. So.

I finished reading L’Étranger and I started reading Le Jardin Secret. On a random afternoon I went to work to Bibliothèque Mazarine with my group but somehow we ended up working by the Seine, catching some sun. Also went to a second hand market in Bastille – OhMyFrip.

New in April

So. So.

Sim. Pizza grátis. Obrigada ParisSecret!

Don’t judge the burnt borders of my giant Pastel de Nata. It was actually very tasty! And it was my first try! Well, it didn’t taste like the original at all but well… good enough to feel a taste of home. I also discovered I love Pineau ahah. And ate free Pizza one night in Pazzi! Yes. Free Pizza. Thank you ParisSecret!

SATURDAY LIST

SATURDAY LIST

Ready for a Friday Saturday list?

Mães… a melhor coisa do mundo ♥.

Which time did you wake up?

At 8h30 to go pick up an order that my mother sent me. So many good things that I missed so muuuuuuuch! Including a cake that she did just for me! Mothers… the best thing in the world ♥.

Today’s mood?

Happy for all the love with which I started the day. Relieved for finally submitting the gigantic project I had worked for the last couple of weeks (25 minutes before the deadline). Excited for the new month and new opportunities that are coming! Tired and in need of real vacations.

What are you wearing today?

Denim jeans. A thin turtle neck. Combat boots – which are full of dust because I walked Jardin des Plants two times today. And a black blazer!

SATURDAY LIST

What did you eat this week?

I tried Il était un burger, a new burger place close to my house, and it is approved! Other than that, since I had a big project to work on until Wednesday, cooking was only my second priority. But I survived! Sometimes simples foods are the best anyway.

What did you listen to this week?

According to Spotify, Stromae is my most heard to artist this month. The new album has been in loop! But for some reason I also ended up in Fado and Italian Rock. Don’t ask.

What is the best thing that happened this week?

I got my internshipppppppp! Actually, I received the call last week, but I only took my decision this week. It will start sooner than I thought and I am both scared and excited! Besides that, my mother’s order, of course ♥.

HOMEMADE BROWNIE

Homemade brownie

Homemade brownie

A vossa ajuda chegou!

A preparação demora apenas 10 minutos e cinco simples passos:

– Derreter o chocolate e a manteiga juntos.

– Adicionar a farinha à massa e bater.

– Finalmente, adiciona o chocolate derretido e bater.

Homemade brownie

Ingredients: 250g of chocolate | 150g of butter | 150g of sugar | 60g of  flour | 3 eggs

Portion: 6 people

What is Easter if not the best excuse to eat an absurd amount of chocolate? So if you are looking for a quick and delicious recipe to do today, look no further. Your help has arrived!

The full preparation takes only 10 minutes and five simple steps:

– Melt the chocolate and the butter together.

– While it is melting, mix the eggs and sugar until you have a homogeneous batter.

– Add the flour to the batter and mix.

– Finally, add the melted chocolate and mix.

– Add the batter to a well-greased cake pan and put it in the oven for 15 minutes at 180º.

Voilà ! I would suggest adding a vanilla ice cream scoop. It is an amazing combination! Specially if the cake is still hot to contrast with the cold touch of the ice cream.

I did not take pictures of the process because I was too focused on doing it all in a 3 sqm kitchen. But I did take a picture of the bowl while the cake was in the oven. I would be lying if I didn’t say that my favorite part of baking isn’t eating the leftover batter.

Happy Easter everyone!
